Grants Program

 

2008

 

$500 to Town Hall Theatre’s Touring Teen Troupe to help pay expenses to bring a nationally-known Education Director/Playwright to Centerville to watch the teens perform one of his plays.

 

$500 to TJ’s Place of Hope to help young people recover from a seemingly helpless state of mind.  It provides a safe haven for adolescent and young adults to stay sober and share their stories with others their own age.

 

$2,000 to the City of Centerville for the Centerville Arts Commission to support Art in the Heart of Centerville, a celebration of art, music, food and shopping in downtown Centerville.

 

2007

 

Set aside $2,500 for a public art project called for in the Foundation’s long range plan and Create the Vision.

 

2006

 

Set aside $2,500 for a public art project called for in the Foundation’s long range plan and Create the Vision.

 

2005

 

$1500 to the Centerville-Washington Park District for an All-Access Playground at the Activity Center Park. The playground facility will allow children of all abilities to play side-by-side and will be a first for our community.

 

$1500 to Hithergreen Senior Center for equipment for the Center's fitness room. Seniors use the room every day to maintain their strength and flexibility or recover from illness.

 

 

2004

 

$1000 to the Centerville Community Band for additional music and uniforms.

 

$1500 to Centerville-Washington Township Historical Society to support publication of a book on the 200-year history of education in Centerville and Washington Township.

 

2003

 

$500 to the Centerville-Washington Park District to help fund a new "Nature On The Go" program, designed to help teachers, scout leaders, home school providers and others who work with children to teach specific nature topics and hands-on activities.

 

$500 to Washington-Centerville Public Library to help defray the cost of purchasing and installing flag poles in front of each of its facilities.

 

2002

 

$500 to Hithergreen Senior Center for a Day Retreat for Caregivers and for a joint garden in the middle of a bikeway/walkway.

 

$500 to Centerville Arts Commission for the performance of the Rejects on August 28, 2002, and the Centerville Community Band on September 1, 2002.

 

2001

 

$500 to Centerville-Washington Diversity Council to continue the diversity initiatives within the community.

 

$500 to Centerville-Washington Township Historical Society to participate in the construction of a brick walkway into the Walton House Museum.

 

2000

 

$500 to Centerville-Washington Park District for Camperships to Park District camps for underprivileged youth.

 

$500 to Washington-Centerville Public Library for software for the Interactice Learning Center at both libraries.
